Ah, the steam. If a poker gambler states never to have peered down the shadow of an approaching poker steam – they’re either lying or they haven’t been wagering for a long time. This does not infer obviously that everyone has been on tilt in the past, a handful of players have awesome willpower and carry their losses as a defeat and keep it at that. To be a great poker gambler, it’s very critical to appraise your wins and your losses in the same manner – with little emotion. Since we are assumingly (most of us) playing poker for a single reason – to make cash, it will make sense that we will play accordingly to maximize our profit potential. Now let’s say you are up $100 off of a 100 dollars deposit, and you suffer a gigantic hit in a NL game and your stack is only has remaining one hundred and twenty dollars. You’ve lost eighty dollars in a round where you should have picked up $200two hundred dollars when you went all-in on the flop and enjoyed a 10 – 1 edge. And that fiend! He banged you out on the river? – Well hold it right here. This is a classic opportunity for a new player to start tilting. They just lost too much $$$$ on one hand that they should have won and they’re aggravated
