Newcomer Strategy for Pai Gow Poker
October 12th, 2015 by Deacon

Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the wild west in a fantastic game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the house, unlike most other poker games that gamblers wager with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, starting players do not have to worry about any other, more skillful people taking their $$$$.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the fairly leisurely game play, rookies should be able to take their time and plan without needing to make quick choices.

It’s also much simpler to wager on for a very long time with basically a little amount of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands must be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the house gets seven cards face down.

A five card hand and one 2 card hand must be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
