Amateurs Strategy for Double-Hand Poker
July 7th, 2022 by Deacon

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the western in a great game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the casino, unlike almost all other poker games that players bet against other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their cash.

An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game play, novices should be able to take their time and plan while not needing to make hasty decisions.

It’s also easier to wager on for a very long time with just a tiny amount of money seeing as, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than both of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the casino is dealt 7 cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
