Caribbean Poker Rules and Tips
June 29th, 2026 by Deacon

Internet poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years many variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the house instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier broadcasting "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other gamblers receive five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you must either make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s value is equal to your original ante, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the bet comes the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus a sum in accordance with the initial bet. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays out cash equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
